Radon Mitigation - Colo, IA
Radon Gas Mitigation Done in Colo, Iowa
This is a single point system that will be run out of the sump on the inside of the house. It will exit out through the other utility area on the backside of the corner of the house. The clients would like a fan housing cover as well as soffit penetration on this one. This was a super easy going couple in which the wife was driving what was going on but ultimately husband had final say of what was needed. He was not really that complicated to talk to, he just wants a good explanation on how everything would go. The challenge was if the sump pump is still able due to age and the team brought one as back up. It turned out fine!
Radon Mitigation - Osage, IA
This is a two point system due to elevated radon levels. One point in the unfinished room and the second on the other side of the dividing wall in the closet. Home owners were to move a couple totes and Santas where the extraction point can be straight down. These are the only unfinished areas in the basement with limited outside options. The complicated part is where to put the fan outside. Homeowner has three pieces of the deck outside that can be lifted up for access. Only other option is coring out through the deck right next to wood which homeowner said would be okay. The project specialist suggested that it would be to the left side of the window on the deck. The client agreed as there wasn't much a better choice. It turned out great!
Radon Mitigation - Altoona, IA
This client had her home tested and got levels of 23 -- which is entirely higher than other homes. She was worried if her family has been exposed but they are not experiencing any symptoms so she wanted to make sure it does not get worse in the future.

Our crew installed this mitigation system for a homeowner who was concerned about their high radon levels. Now they can sleep better at night knowing their radon problem has been taken care of.
Radon Mitigation - Indianola, IA
This home radon levels measured over a whooping 50 pCi/L. I mean there are still higher levels out there, but can you imagine that amount of radon exposure daily? I guess not. The clients had a home monitor, and they barely checked it. When the time came, they heard the news about radon, they were so worried. They just moved in a month ago with a 10-month-old baby girl. This was a 5-point system with the radon fan out the north wall behind their A/C unit.
