Radon Mitigation Before Winter Starts
This client's family members were determined to create a safe home for their family after discovering high radon levels in their home, it was around 25 pCi/L. They set clear goals: reduce radon exposure, ensure a healthy environment, and increase property value before the year ends or winter officially starts. Radon Defense Midwest team guided them through the process, explaining each step. With a professional installation completed, the family gave happy feedback as they received confirmation of reduced levels after a few days. Their commitment paid off, transforming their home into a sanctuary, free from the dangers of radon exposure, and restoring their peace of mind.

Homeowner just moved in the home last month and needed help with the old mitigation system. There were fairly large cracks into the foundation which need to be sealed. It was a huge home and we did discuss his options for replacement as it would be a more practical choice. He agreed and went on decided to have the fan placed outside of the home this time. Homeowner also asked about duct cleaning as a I just moved into the house within the last few months and told me that air flow seem to be an issue. There is a room that is painted blue in the back of the house apparently has no air float to it.

This was a genuinely nice woman to talk to, really calm. It was a straightforward radon mitigation system to install and nothing too shabby. She was really interested in how it works to protect her health and home. We originally quoted her 4 years ago and she wasn't ready. After a period of talking through her peers and family, she gave in and decided to get her own.

This installation was referred by one of satisfied clients, they needed help as their home does not have much space to place a system but they know we can work something out. We didn't disappoint once we saw the client's 3-chamber home. The client's crawlspace was decent enough to work with and did not give us a difficult time on how it should be placed. They even requested crawlspace encapsulation on the spot. Everything went well!

This was more complex than we thought it would be as we are looking to extract out of the utility room. Homeowner is finishing home and will like to run the PVC line along the listing ductwork and out through the rim joist and virtually how the PVC in the Sill plate. The team took some pictures and mark them up and read to indicate where he was thinking about running the pvc. He told me that he would have that existing pools cord and I told him that there was a slope that was needed and he said he would take that into account. The homeowner is a very DIY individual and has done a lot of good work on his home. He is going to core through his roof is sealed that up himself as he has done work on barns in the past and told us that it would be fine to just run the PVC up through and he would take it from there. This is because he has a metal roof. The third part of this is that the sump is in a finished area in the basement he will be lining it and throwing carpet over the top so we will need to seal up the sump with plexiglass instead of a dome lid so that he can finish over it. He is also left the discharge in the wall open to see if we needed to do anything with this. Homeowner said he would be available and present during the install, he's a super nice guy but wants to make sure that we're running it where we need to that way he can hide it and frame it out. He got the outcome he wanted.
