The O'Brien family recently discovered elevated radon levels in their basement. With little ones they have around, they didn't hesitate to install a radon mitigation system with us. This is a 1-point system that will be out of the corner of the home. There's also a Breathe EZ that will be added to HVAC system. There are multiple chambers on this home but homeowner and told me that he was possibly selling within the next couple years so the need of the system as well. There are also too small inaccessible crawl spaces so there is no warranty. Radon levels were a six to seven and homeowner said that he wanted to start with a single point before addressing other chambers within a home. This project will be a challenging one as a set of expectation. There is a super small portion of the basement that will need an extraction point and small slab that will need a horizontal extraction point that is towards under the stairs. The homeowner will start working from home so she needs all the protection she should get. The challenge was going to be the extraction point from outside the house. The technician will most likely be going to need to run a line through the crawl space hole and out through the far side of that. The good thing is that it is currently covered with clean space but is a tighter fit and uncomfortable. The homeowner didn't want much damage as it would cost her extra to repair and it no longer fits her budget. She was looking to see what the radon system could do before going down and encapsulation avenue.
