Radon Mitigation - Dows, IA
This project was virtually so the project specialist was not able to do an inspection and only able to see via Facetime what home looked like. Homeowner's husband had been dealing with lung issues recently and they are very concerned about radon levels as well as indoor air quality. They tested for radon and the levels were at a 5-6 but also have a crawlspace. The crawlspace was covered up with cardboard and heat tape so was not able to see inside it. The team was told that there was 2 feet of room to crawl in there as it was a deck conversion. The homeowner also requested to have this encapsulated for further protection. They also added a Breathe EZ for peace of mind. Everything went well!

This installation was a simple 1-point system where we can run the extraction point from the plumbing stack and route it over to where their jar events are venting out. The client also lets the team know that there's some pump was not working and was looking to just have us complete that when we sealed it up. She had a radon test and returned with high levels. She is concerned for her kids and family's well-being.

Radon Testing Available in Boone, Iowa
The O'Brien family recently discovered elevated radon levels in their basement. With little ones they have around, they didn't hesitate to install a radon mitigation system with us. This is a 1-point system that will be out of the corner of the home. There's also a Breathe EZ that will be added to HVAC system. There are multiple chambers on this home but homeowner and told me that he was possibly selling within the next couple years so the need of the system as well. There are also too small inaccessible crawl spaces so there is no warranty. Radon levels were a six to seven and homeowner said that he wanted to start with a single point before addressing other chambers within a home. Now, they can breathe easy knowing their home is protected from this invisible threat. Peace of mind is priceless!
Radon Mitigation - Winterset, IA
This project will be a challenging one as a set of expectation. There is a super small portion of the basement that will need an extraction point and small slab that will need a horizontal extraction point that is towards under the stairs. The homeowner will start working from home so she needs all the protection she should get. The challenge was going to be the extraction point from outside the house. The technician will most likely be going to need to run a line through the crawl space hole and out through the far side of that. The good thing is that it is currently covered with clean space but is a tighter fit and uncomfortable. The homeowner didn't want much damage as it would cost her extra to repair and it no longer fits her budget. She was looking to see what the radon system could do before going down and encapsulation avenue.
