Radon Mitigation Piping Done Right!
This was a challenging project as the homeowner was very concerned about the placement of piping and trapping in current electrical and plumbing. For the sounds of things, he wanted to be hands-on during the installation process. We made sure it will be done to his satisfaction. Homeowner was supposed to pull some of the shelving away from the wall in order to allow us to run pipe and work in the area. We drafted and explained everything to him firsthand before starting - he agreed, and everything worked out fine. He really took the day off to give time for this!

Progressive Cancer Client Recommended Radon Mitigation to Family
The client is the daughter of the homeowners we serviced across the street, they recommended us to her and she really liked how the radon mitigation system was installed in her parents place. They were nice and very flexible about everything -- as long as the system does the job right and no future issues. The team checked the home and saw that the sump is not perforated. Did a radon test and returned with levels 14-15, so a second point is needed either under the stairs but they preferred to have it at the right of the door leading into the additional room. The client's father was diagnosed with progressive cancer so she takes very seriously to full detail. They also added in an ERV installation to circulate healthier airflow within the other center room. All services were done neatly and met expectations of client. They did mention they will recommend us to all their friends.

Effective Radon Mitigation in Humboldt, Iowa
These clients just learned of their radon elevated levels of 11.8 in basement with two chambers, plus a concrete crawlspace that's 27'x40'. It's an old home with a narrow sump pit. The plan was to block the wall dividing basement and sub slab on either side of wall, core through block low, then go up and route between floor joists to enter crawlspace and have third extraction point. Exit crawlspace on far right back corner below office. Exit through rim joist and place fan on back side of house with fan cover. They added a Breathe EZ filter for extra protection.

How to Live with Radon?
This client lives in very old farm house with an unfinished basement used for storage and it was full of cobwebs. We did advise her that it's not healthy keeping it that way. She requested a radon test before starting anything returned with a level of 6.2 in her basement and shocked as she has never tested before. She was feeling nauseous the past few weeks so it bothered her that it might be the high radon levels. She got a free estimate and the team saw that the home had an inaccessible crawlspace on one side, the other side has a garage that is now a finished living space. She had a small porch with conditioned air is slab on grade on front of house. The slab appears to be in good condition and no major cracks. The installation will be a sub slab extraction point on back corner of basement, second point horizontally to pull from old garage, exit house via rim joist, install muffler and route up. She was happy with this decision and will contact us back for duct cleaning!
